I thought I was the only one who had these. I just ended one a few months back with a friend and it was awkward.
A “fakelationship” isn’t really like that. I mean sure it might lead to that but it’s hard to explain. I guess if I had to put it into words I would say that it’s when two people, who aren’t dating, spend time together as if they were. It doesn’t have to be intimate, but it’s on a completely different level than “just friends”. All the “fakelationships” I have had definitely had flirty atmosphere to them, but that could be just me. I would put it on a level above being friends but below dating.
Yeah, I’ve been through this too, and it’s seriously effed-up. It essentially is a friendship where one person wants more and the other doesn’t, but it can also be that they both want more but can’t, or are too afraid, or don’t for whatever other bulls**t reason.
