    THE CREATION OF CIBERVIDEOS IN TEACHER FORMATION

    
    
  • CONTEXTUALIZATION

    The didactic design proposed in the Medea Awards is inserted in the context of teacher training in B-learning in the discipline Technologies and Education, Graduation in Pedagogy, of University of the State of Rio de Janeiro. The main theme of the course involved the production of cibervideos and didactic design by students, privileging the practices with open educational resources.

    The target audience is comprised of students from the Technology and Education discipline of the Graduation in Pedagogy of the State University of Rio de Janeiro, in the age group from 18 to 42 years of age. The audiovisual production workshops and the virtual learning environment were held throughout the course. 

    The productions made by students value their authorship in cyberspace, especially with the cybervideos, very used and of great pedagogical potential. They were delimited as cibervideos: hypervideo, microvideo, videoconference, video lessons, instant video and volatile video. Recognizing the importance of audiovisual in online teaching.

    Use in time
    The contents are updated each semester by the students of the discipline. The productions are considered Open Educational Resources (REA) and are available with Creative Commons License for free use by any practitioner who wishes to use in their pedagogical practices.


    Pedagogical aims
    • Understand, together with the students of the State University of Rio de Janeiro, technical, communication and pedagogical characteristics of the audiovisual in cyberculture and online education.
    • Search for the singularities of the audiovisual on the internet, in view of technological changes and the creation of videos in different contexts of everyday life, and how cybervideos can be explored in online education.
    • Develop activities using digital interfaces to enhance students' authorship, in view of the increasing updating of software, applications and audiovisual practices in cyberspace.
    • Stimulate authorship in the creation of didactic drawings, forming students for the exercise of online teaching.
    • Encourage teachers in their initial training in the production of media for education.
    • Understand how the process of teacher training for online teaching takes place.


    Evaluation
    The productions of the students receive feedback throughout the work developed, so the evaluation is procedural, with a conception of formative evaluation. After the students perform a presentation of the video produced in the classroom and online video postings in the class group on Facebook, there is a final return, through conversation about the video produced, how it was produced, what difficulties, the knowledge mobilized and learning obtained through the activity with the creation of cibervideos. What is actually evaluated is the process of creation, the knowledge and learning acquired by the group and not the final product itself.

  • CIBERVIDEOS

        

    The choice for the production of cibervideos was due to the facilities that the digital network provides, the contemporary audiovisuals gain greater circulation and stand out in the daily life of the people, this highlight is due to the facilities that digital allows, since they stand out , Related to analogue audiovisuals, which are recorded with camcorders, stored on tapes, difficult to store, maintain and reproduce. 

    Digital has, on the contrary, film and editing facilitated by programs and applications, with cloud storage and the possibility of easy network sharing. People circulate with their smartphones recording scenes of all kinds, from blatant to curios. From the mobility, it is possible to share at the same time, justifying the choice of audiovisual media.

    The choice of videos made it possible to change the students' understanding of their teaching. Understanding, with the help of the audiovisual production workshop, how technologies can enhance uses. The preparation of the videos was added to the construction of didactic drawings.
    It is extremely important to use the didactic materials produced by the students to elaborate a didactic design in the Virtual Learning Environment with the course management software, MOODLE, because we need to promote, within the scope of teacher training, competences that mobilize these Pedagogical teaching practice.

    Because we stimulated the production of some online videos, such as videoconferencing, we had some reports of difficulties with the internet connection at the time of its elaboration, however, even with the difficulties that involve connection, the activity of creation of the cibervideos enabled us Knowledge and awareness of how important they are in the educational context.

    The activity enabled the development of important skills for teacher training, creation from the pedagogical conception of video production, drawing up a script, how the subject would be approached using the proposed theme, thinking about what resources would need, mobilizing a series of knowledge who collaborated in the learning process of the students in the production of the media.

    The work of completing the course is the creation of a didactic design in MOODLE, in which one of the didactic materials was the creation of the cibervideo, the pedagogical quality of this activity is precisely to the variety of knowledge mobilized in all aspects of creation, It is fundamental to train teachers for the authorship of their educational designs that use the media and virtual learning environments.

  • CONCLUSIONS

    In the pedagogical context of the discipline Technologies and education the media was used as an educational experience, the proposal to reflect on educating with the media, educating for the media and educating through the media guided the pedagogical analyzes and constructions by the students, since these were the Themes of his productions. Along with this, there was integration with MOODLE in the creation of a didactic design in which this media is already one of the interfaces of content, created for the exercise of online teaching in the virtual learning
    environment.
